8. Troubleshooting

Introduction

Everything is going well, when suddenly Murphy’s computer shuts down. Murphy says, "now what?" Your challenge is to discover what went wrong and how to fix the problem.

Key Vocabulary:

Malware: software that is intended to damage or disable computers and computer systems

Virus: is a program or piece of code that is loaded onto your computer without your knowledge and runs against your wishes


Steps:
 

1. Take notes and create a step-by-step troubleshooting flowchart describing all the steps that you must go through to troubleshoot the problems listed below in steps 2,3, and 4. You can click on this link to a Google drawing that has been started for you, copy it, save to your own location, and edit it as a class, in small groups, or individually.  Link to drawing
